Rainy Vegas

Yes, it finally stopped raining here in Las Vegas. Sweet Jesus! It had been raining since I got off my plane.

I spent all day yesterday working at the Bellagio covering a World Poker Tour event. I got to see a lot of old friends from the media that I spent a lot of time with this past summer covering the World Series of Poker. It's always great to catch up. Foiled Coup introduced me to a hot blonde cocktail server who was from Brooklyn. She also used to live in Park Slope, a few blocks from where I used to live. The poker tournament is held in the Fontana Room, which overlooks the Strip and Las Vegas Blvd. You can also see the spectacular water show every 30 minutes.

I ate at Noodles at the Bellagio yesterday for lunch with Poker Prof and Flipchip. The Seasame Chicken was yummy. For dinner I ate at In & Out Burger. Damn, I missed that place.

After work, I played poker at the Bellagio and I only won $30. I sat down for two hours at a $8/$16 table that included one guy in a wheelchair who could not see the flop because he had horrible eye sight. The dealer had to read out the cards to him every time. Aother guy was so drunk that he spilled drinks on the felt not once, not twice, but thrice! Then there was the hot chick who was nipping out the entire time. That's enough to get anyone on tilt. I sat next to the "cool guy toughster" who sported a barb wire tattoo and wore shades at the table. He looked like a total idiot but was actually a nice guy.

Tonight, Bad Blood comes to town and I'm gonna skip work early to go to strip clubs. Should be an epic time.

Grubby lives about 20 minutes door-to-door from the Bellagio, which is nice. I'm digging my rental car but I don't like driving in traffic. I've been listening to some kick ass discs that Daddy sent me.

Grubby has a scale in his bathroom. Of course, he's the Poker Grub so it's not weird that he'd have that! He got it free from one of the Station Casinos here in Las Vegas. I weighed myself before I got into the shower today and I was about 182. I peaked out at 195 at the end of last summer, so I've dropped about 10+ pounds since I left Vegas. I'd like to get down to 170-175 by the end of the year. I dunno if that will be possible! I'm gonna have to stop drinking beer and eating donuts again.

Off to work now. I'm gonna take more pictures today.
